Xerox investigation closed

The Office of Fair Trading is to shelve its investigation into allegations that Xerox breached the Competition Act 1988, after Xerox made a commitment to change aspects of the way it licenses its operating systems.

The OFT felt the changes Xerox were proposing were sufficient to end the need for any further involvement. Inquiries were begun by the OFT following complaints brought by Technologic LSI Europe.
