USED EQUPMENT: Any machine that has been previously installed.

Not all used equipment is equal so how do you compare used equipment on the market?

  1. Is the equipment is currently on a Xerox or Advantage-X Full Service Maintenance Agreement (FSMA)?

  2. If not, does the machine come with any guarantees as to operation?

  3. Does the machine go through any maintenance procedures before being shipped out?

  4. Does the seller have references from previous buyers of used equipment?

  5. Can you inspect before buying?
  6. Has the seller ever seen the equipment to verify it's operation?

 

WHERE DOES USED EQUPMENT COME FROM?

Scenario- lease expiration:

A machine is currently on a Xerox lease that includes FSMA. You are seeking the same equipment model on the used market and you want Xerox to provide your service.

Xerox process: The current lessor decides not to pay the lease buyout. Xerox sells you the equipment. They arrange for the product to be prepared, packed and shipped directly from the current location to your location. A Xerox technician completes the reinstallation and the product is placed on FSMA.

Advantage-X process: The current lessor arranges a deal with Advantage-X. They pay the lease buyout and Advantage-X pays the cost of the lease buyout plus a fair mark-up for their effort. Advantage-X sells you the equipment. Advantage-X calls Xerox who then arranges for the product to be prepared, packed and shipped directly from the current location to your location. A Xerox technician completes the reinstallation and the product is placed on FSMA.

What's the difference? Who you make out your check to. And with Advantage-X we can assure you that check will be smaller.
